Automating Annapolis Soccer Club Site Updates with Code and AI
Rebuilding the club website with an operations mindset
I was responsible for the build and redesign of the new annapolissoccerclub.com website. From the start, I treated the site as an operational system, not just a design project.
A strong community site has two requirements:
- it must be easy for families and coaches to use;
- it must be easy for staff to maintain throughout the year.
Ongoing website and IT operations management
I continue to handle website management and IT operations for Annapolis Soccer Club. That includes recurring updates tied to registration windows, season schedules, and informational pages that change on predictable cycles.
The bottleneck for clubs is rarely one big launch. It is the repeated, small updates that need to be accurate and timely every season.
Using code and AI tools for recurring updates
I use code and AI-assisted tooling to automate regular update workflows, including season date changes and other repeatable content edits.
The process is intentionally simple:
- define update rules for known seasonal fields and page sections;
- run scripted checks to apply and validate changes;
- review generated diffs before publishing;
- keep rollback paths clear if a change needs correction.
This approach reduces manual effort, improves consistency, and gives staff more time to focus on players and families instead of repetitive site maintenance.
